Frequently Asked Questions

Questions you might need answers too.

1. How is Life Coaching different than Therapy? While the life coaching I provide can be therapeutic, it is not therapy. Coaching is distinct from traditional therapy because it is not designed to address psychological issues. While emotional issues may arise, the primary focus of life coaching is to help you identify your goals, achieve them, and develop constructive habits and skills. There is little emphasis placed on the past with coaching, but instead the focus is on creating what you want now and in the future.

2. What is the difference in the type of service you offer? I offer individual services to women to help with any issues that are typical in the different ages and stages of life. Issues which have them stuck and not able to move on to where they really want to be in that particular area of their life. The In-Home Services/Marriage is when I go into the home and spend time with the married couple that is not in crisis but struggling with some area of their marriage and wanting change and movement to a more satisfying place. The In-Home Services/NannyGranny is when I go into the home and spend time with the parents and children. Both of the In-Home services involve times of observing, consultation, education, motivation, practical suggestions, and opportunities for practice to implement change. On-line classes with a specific subjects pertaining to Individual, Marriage and Parenting Services will be offered.

3. How long do people generally work with a Life Coach? To experience the effectiveness of a life coaching program, I suggest individual clients make an initial three-month commitment, which involves nine – 45 minute sessions. At the end of the three months, we will evaluate progress and discuss options for continued coaching, if needed. The in-home services are a minimum of nine days(hours per day will vary). Classes will be done online and will be 9 sessions long for each topic.

4. Is personal life coaching confidential? What we discuss will be held in confidence and not shared with others. However, our discussions are not privileged for legal purposes. The privilege of confidentiality that exists for the clergy, therapists, and attorneys is not granted to coaching professionals. That said, life coaching is a confidential process, and your personal information will always be protected.

5. What is your cancellation policy? I require 24 hour notice to cancel all sessions. Please be sure to contact me if you will not be able to make your scheduled appointment in order to avoid being charged for the session.
